Brief of Walk
This easy guided nature walk will bring us onto the Prunus Trail into the rainforest around MacRitchie Reservoir within our irreplaceable Central Catchment Nature Reserve. The rainforest here is the only home left for Singapore’s unique, native wildlife, such as the Colugo, Slow Loris, Forest Halfbeak, Blue-legged Treefrog and many more. During our walk, we should encounter some of them. Many species of rainforest trees and plants are easily seen here as we walk under the tall forest canopy. Although this is a Nature Reserve, the rainforest here may soon be disrupted, with the Cross Island MRT Line cutting through it. Come for this walk to experience the last of our amazing rainforest!
