- This event has passed.
What the Health is the 2017 groundbreaking follow-up film from the creators of the award-winning documentary, Cowspiracy. The film follows the exciting journey of intrepid filmmaker, Kip Andersen, as he uncovers the impact of animal foods on our health, and explores why leading health organizations in the U.S. continue to promote meat and other animal based foods despite countless medical studies showing the harm these products do to our health.
The film features plant based athletes and such well known health experts as Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Dr Neal Barnard, Dr John McDougall, and Dr Michael Greger.

After the film, be inspired by a panel of notable plant based advocates who will share their personal experiences and give tips on how to improve our diet and lifestyle.
Dr Chan Tat Hon is a passionate advocate of the power of lifestyle, diet and exercise in the prevention and management of conditions, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and other lifestyle-related diseases. On top of prescribing lifestyle modifications to his patients in his medical clinic, Dr Chan also teaches lifestyle as medicine through seminars and talks as well as through his work in a local hospital group where he leads the hospital’s lifestyle medicine initiatives in the community.
Canadian born Emilie Tan has been living in Singapore since July 2015. She has been a vegan for more than 5 years and is a passionate advocate of a whole food plant based lifestyle. As a competitive endurance runner, Emilie has accumulated placings in races from 10km to 100km. Her latest endurance event, however, was of another type: she gave birth to daughter Sienna in March after a healthy 100% vegan pregnancy and natural drug free birth.
Teo Poh Geok graduated as a staff nurse in 1977 and worked for 10 years in the vocation. In 1992, she co-founded Five Loaves bakery because of her conviction in the benefits of whole grains. Poh Geok has given talks in schools and conducted cooking classes for the community. Her proficiency in plant based cooking led to her co-founding Genesis Vegan Restaurant, a favorite among many vegetarians since 2006.
Thara Begum Yeo is a physique and bodybuilding winner and a highly sought-after health and fitness coach. Vegan since 2015, she is keen to promote the benefits of veganism and wants to be a living example of an athlete who can outperform expectations on a plant-based diet. Thara has been featured in Yahoo Sports News, The Straits Times and fitness blogs.
